Private dog training in Pacific Beach and La Jolla

I work one-on-one with dogs and their people in Pacific Beach, Crown Point, Mission Beach, La Jolla and UTC. If walks have become a struggle, your puppy needs a solid start, or your dog needs more reliable manners, I build a practical plan around the places you actually live and train.

You and your dog train directly with me. Sessions can start at home and progress to suitable outdoor settings when your dog is ready. I do not take dogs away for board-and-train.

Training for the problems you face every day

Outdoor Dog Training at Crown Point Shores and Kate Sessions Park

I offer outdoor training at Crown Point Shores and Kate Sessions Park in Pacific Beach. We work on leash handling, attention, and everyday obedience around real-world distractions, choosing the setting and level of activity to suit your dog’s readiness.

Free Pack Walks in Pacific Beach

Join Mother of Beasts K9 Training for free pack walks in Pacific Beach. Walk with other dog owners and practice moving together with your dog. Check the event listing for the meeting location, participation requirements, and current dates.

Fiesta Island Dog Training

I also offer free introductory leash-handling and beginner obedience classes at Fiesta Island. These classes introduce practical handling and foundational skills you can continue practicing with your dog. For upcoming free pack walks and introductory classes, event details, and registration, see my Meetup group.

What your first session looks like

I begin with your dog’s history, your goals and the specific situations that are hardest at home or outside. I then demonstrate the handling and practice you will use between sessions. Owners of dogs with serious reactivity or aggression start with a 90-minute assessment to determine the right next step.

Private Training in Your Neighborhood

Pacific Beach Dog Training

I work with Pacific Beach and Crown Point dog owners on the skills that make daily life easier: settling at home, greeting people without jumping, and staying engaged on walks. We begin at a level your dog can manage and build toward the distractions you actually encounter. You practice with me so you can keep using those skills between lessons.

Mission Beach Dog Training

For Mission Beach families, training can focus on passing people and dogs, keeping attention when activity increases, and making departures from home less chaotic. A busy beachside walkway is not the starting point for every dog. We choose quieter conditions first when needed and introduce distractions gradually, with safety and your dog’s readiness guiding the plan.

Point Loma Dog Training

I also serve dog owners in Point Loma with private training tailored to home life and neighborhood walks. Whether you need puppy foundations, more dependable obedience, or help with barking and lunging, we discuss your dog’s history before choosing the next step. Tell me your location so we can confirm travel availability and a suitable starting setting.

La Jolla Dog Training

I work with owners in La Jolla and nearby UTC on practical skills for their household and routine. That may mean helping a puppy settle, improving leash handling, or building focus around everyday distractions. Sessions can begin at home and progress to appropriate outdoor settings; you and your dog train directly with me.

Questions About Local Dog Training

Do you offer in-home training?

Yes. I offer private, in-home training in these communities, subject to travel availability. Outdoor practice is chosen around your dog’s readiness and local rules. These are service areas, not separate training facilities.

Can I talk with you before choosing a program?

Yes. You can send an inquiry about your dog or book a 15-minute phone consultation for $39. The phone consultation is separate from the 90-minute in-home assessment and does not replace it when an assessment is required.
